Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Safari Spirit Journeys. By booking a trip or using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully, as they outline your rights and responsibilities as a client.
1. Booking & Payments
A deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. The deposit amount will be specified in your booking quote or invoice.
The balance must be paid before the start of your trip, typically no later than 30 days prior to departure.
Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or other approved methods.
Late payments may result in cancellation of your booking without refund.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations must be made in writing (email or letter).
Cancellation charges are as follows:
More than 60 days before departure: 20% of total cost
30–59 days before departure: 50% of total cost
Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of total cost
Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 30 days of cancellation.
We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover cancellations, delays, or unexpected changes.
3. Changes to Itinerary
Safari Spirit Journeys reserves the right to make changes to your itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, park closures, political events, or availability.
We will always try to offer alternative arrangements of equal or better value.
4. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel and medical insurance is required for all clients.
Your insurance should cover trip cancellation, delays, medical emergencies, evacuation, and loss of belongings.
5. Health & Fitness
Some of our trips (e.g. mountain treks) require a reasonable level of physical fitness.
It is your responsibility to consult with a doctor before travel and inform us of any health conditions or dietary requirements.
6. Passports, Visas & Entry Requirements
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, and any required vaccinations.
Safari Spirit Journeys is not liable for issues related to border entry or visa denials.
7. Liability & Responsibility
Safari Spirit Journeys acts as an agent for hotels, lodges, airlines, and transport providers. We are not liable for injury, loss, damage, or delay caused by third parties.
We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings during the trip.
Participation in our tours is at your own risk.
8. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, strikes, or extreme weather.
9. Use of Photos & Testimonials
We may use images or feedback from your safari in our marketing, unless you notify us in writing that you do not consent.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes will be settled under Tanzanian jurisdiction.
