Day 1: Arrival & Stone Town Discovery
Welcome to Zanzibar! Upon arrival, a Safari Spirit Journeys representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in the heart of Stone Town. Kick off your island experience with a guided walking tour through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed town. Discover ancient architecture, vibrant bazaars, and historical landmarks like the Sultan’s Palace, House of Wonders, and the Old Slave Market. As the sun sets, head to Forodhani Gardens to enjoy the local street food and the mesmerizing views over the Indian Ocean.

Day 2: Spice Plantation Tour & Jozani Forest Walk
After a hearty breakfast, embark on a guided tour of one of Zanzibar’s iconic spice farms. Smell, taste, and touch a variety of spices like clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla while learning about their historical and economic significance. You’ll also sample fresh tropical fruits and engage with local farmers. In the afternoon, continue to Jozani Forest, home to the rare Zanzibar Red Colobus Monkeys. Walk through the lush forest paths and mangrove boardwalks while learning about this unique ecosystem. Afterward, transfer to your beachside resort for a peaceful evening by the sea.

Day 3: Island Excursion to Prison Island & Nakupenda Sandbank
Today’s adventure starts with a boat trip to Prison Island, known for its historical significance and giant Aldabra tortoises. Enjoy time exploring the island and snapping photos with these gentle creatures. Then sail to the stunning Nakupenda Sandbank, where turquoise waters and white sands await. Swim, snorkel with vibrant marine life, and enjoy a fresh seafood lunch served under a shaded canopy. Return to your beach resort in the afternoon for a relaxing evening under the stars.

Day 4: Leisure & Departure
Spend your final morning at leisure—relaxing on the beach, taking a morning dip in the sea, or joining an optional Swahili cooking class or traditional dhow sailing cruise. Later, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure, closing your journey with Safari Spirit Journeys and taking with you the unforgettable sights, scents, and smiles of Zanzibar.
